Carl W. Griffin

Carl W. Griffin received a B.A. (Summa Cum Laude) in Near Eastern Studies and Classics from Brigham Young University and an M.A. in Early Christian Studies from The Catholic University of America. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Early Christian Studies at The Catholic University of America. His dissertation topic is on the early Syriac poet Cyrillona.

Carl has worked at the Maxwell Institute since 2001 and serves as Associate Director of the Center for the Preservation of Ancient Religious Texts. He is also on the staff of the Maxwell Institute's Middle Eastern Texts Initiative where he serves as co-editor (with Kristian Heal) of the Eastern Christian Texts series and as an associate editor of the Library of the Christian East. Carl and his wife and daughter live in Payson, UT.
